Abstract The U.S. Subprime Crisis and the subsequent Great Recession have highlighted a renewed interest in proper design implementation of Early Warning Systems (E.W.S.), order to help deter onset extreme financial events, through adequate crisis detection mechanisms. present article describes Adaptive (A.E.W.S.) axiomatic approach, as natural operational extension E.W.S. testing. This novel protocol upholds dimension implementing an efficient holistic mechanism, domain which has been hitherto overlooked by literature. paper first major principles sustaining A.E.W.S. protocol, seek establish universal support said protocol. Second, also basic template for surveillance platform, duly how multiple testing procedures can be integrated into single framework, while targeting segments markets (such conventional non-conventional markets). Third, advantages disadvantages associated with this It is hoped that effective framework global macroprudential toolkit might future enabling greater cohesiveness E.W.S.-related central banking procedures, well promoting international cooperation prior during distress episodes.
